I collaborated on this beautiful editorial project with the official communication agency of the Milanese art gallery HUB/ART, McVector, where I worked on the conception, design, and creation of the catalog for the exhibition "Hidden Images" by Marco Abrate, with a critical text by Giorgio Bonomi.
The contemporary art catalog is an essential means of expression and communication, inseparable from the production of an art gallery or museum. It is the bridge between us and the artist.
It allows us to relive an exhibition and immerse ourselves more intimately and completely in the artist’s vision.
The catalog for the "Hidden Images" exhibition by rebor_art is available in a limited edition at the gallery, signed by the artist.
The artist believes that the wall is nothing more than a product of time to work with Cracks, breaks, and incrustations carry the marks of the passing time. The works presented are the result of a process of layering various and different elements, primarily plaster. By playing with the solidity of the wall, the artist brings forth forms, figures, and images from the surface, making himself recognized by the observer.
The exhibition was open for visits from October 13, 2021, to January 10, 2022.
The exhibition project was created in 2020 for the prestigious Art Rights Prize, the first international virtual art award organized by the AB Factory Cultural Association, aimed at supporting emerging and established artists during the pandemic.
The 100 selected finalists had the opportunity to exhibit some of their works in a 3D virtual exhibition on the LIEU.CITY platform. Hub/Art, as a partner of the event, later selected six artists to hold a physical exhibition at their space in Milan: in the "painting" category, the selected artists were Agata Treccani, Giotto Riva, Federica Poletti, and Paolo Treni; in the "video art" category, the artists were Alex Frost and Fabrizio Narcisi.
The exhibition was open for visits from February 13, 2022, to May 10, 2022.
